The Design-Build project delivery method is where the owner having one primary contractual relationship with an entity that is responsible both for the design and building of the construction project.

The most traditional of which is Design/Bid/Build. For generations, this was the predominately accepted means by which construction projects were developed and delivered. The rapid acceptance of the Design build delivery method is due to the advantages such as time and cost savings.

Traditional Design-Bid-Build projects create two separate relationships between the Owner and Contractor and the Owner and Designer.
